Here's the deal

For those of you that may not know, my name is Jerelle Downing. I'm a 20 year old college student at Virginia Tech who is, for some unbeknownst reason, majoring in biochemistry. After I finish my undergrad degree, I plan on going into patent law as a possible career field--but if you were to look towards history as any sort of indicator, thats likely to change. Next semester I'll partake in a new program offered by University Honors called the Presidential Global Scholars program. This program will send myself and about 30 other students to a small town in Switzerland called Riva San Vitale. There we'll work alongside some of the best professors offered at Virginia Tech, using the many unique resources of Europe to create an experience that will hopefully offer us a greater understanding of the world and our own individual place within it. This will be my first time visiting Europe, and I'm well beyond excited for the experience.
